Anime Expo is once again proud to provide aspiring anime artists with a venue to gather, learn, and gain feedback on their artwork from industry professionals as it is important that artists have a friendly, encouraging environment with which to enjoy all aspects of anime.
We’re excited to further expand the portfolio reviews session program with participation from VIZ Originals, a new imprint of VIZ Media dedicated to publishing original graphic novels developed by manga-inspired creators.
Portfolio review sessions will be conducted in The Annex @ Kentia Hall by Fawn Lau, Executive Editor for VIZ Originals, Ruwen Liu of Sizigi Studios (Artist Alley Table A47), and more TBA.

About VIZ Originals
VIZ Originals is a new imprint of VIZ Media dedicated to publishing original graphic novels developed by manga-inspired creators. The team looks to collaborate with talented independent artists, creators and writers to develop original stories that ignite the imagination, with titles that showcase dynamic paneling, skillful black and white artwork and compelling, diverse stories for both young adult and adult readers. About Ruwen Liu
Ruwen is the creative director at Sizigi Studios, a San Francisco-based game studio. She loves making colorful images which combine anime with western classical paintings. When she’s not painting, Ruwen works on developing artificial intelligence to draw anime.
Anime Expo 2019 will run from July 4 through July 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with Pre-Show Night on July 3, 2019.
